Foz do Iguaçu, colloquially referred to as Foz, is the Brazilian city on the border of Iguaçu Falls. Foz in Portuguese means the mouth or end of a river and Iguaçu in Guarani or Tupi comes from the words y, meaning "river", and guasu, meaning "big".

Located in the southern region of Brazil, Foz do Iguaçu is a city that's famous for its natural wonders, including the world-renowned Iguaçu Falls. This magnificent waterfall system is made up of 275 individual falls that span across the border of Brazil and Argentina. It's no surprise that the Iguaçu Falls are considered one of the seven natural wonders of the world.
